Red Wine Marinade


Here's a great veggie marinade you can make in advance for added flavor in your meatlessly mouthwatering meals.

Olive Oil
Onion 1/2 (chopped)
Garlic 2 cloves (crushed)
Red Wine 1/2 cup
Water 1/2 cup
Red Wine Vinegar 1 Tbs
Thyme  1 Tbs (fresh, chopped)
Salt 1/4 tsp
Pepper 1/2 tsp
Steak Rub Seasoning 1 tsp

1 Drizzle some oil in a large pot on medium heat. Add the onions and garlic, saute until tender about 3-5 mins. 

2 Add the rest of the ingredients.  Raise heat to high and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for 20 mins. 

3 Now add whatever veggies you want, cook for 1 min. Transfer to a shallow dish and allow to marinate for at least 1 hour.

Use for marinating, veggies for added flavor. Great for grilled or BBQ dishes.
